Grace Episcopal Church Welcomes You !
It is the warm and welcoming nature of this diverse congregation to joyfully embrace new ideas, while remaining always reverent to God’s Will in the world; past, present and future. From summer picnics, ice cream socials and the yearly Blessing of the Animals to the Christmas Eve Pageant and January’s Feast of Lights, the parish calendar is full of celebrations, suppers, and outreach projects that benefit a cross-section of local and overseas missions.
Most Sunday mornings find the grocery cart in the church narthex filled with donations for the Norwich Clergy Association’s food locker. Parishioners collect supplies for the downtown soup kitchen and participate in the city’s annual Crop Walk. At the baseball pilgrimage to Dodd Stadium, members and friends enjoy good family fun, while raising money for Habitat for Humanity, prison ministries and other important causes. Our youngest members are as much a part of parish life as adults are, visiting the elderly, helping spruce up the place for special events, and spreading the message of God’s love in fresh and exciting ways.
The weekly Sunday Service begins at 10:00 am. Coffee & Conversation with Reverend Mark Santucci begins at 9:00 am. Please join in, all are welcome.
Every individual has a calling, a talent or treasure they are destined to share. Whether gardening, teaching, caring for altar cloths and vestments, repairing and building… whether attending meetings and workshops, preparing food, leading prayer and worship, publicity, or finance and planning, this small community offers all an opportunity to find the path God has designed for each of us. This is the solid rock of Christ’s unconditional love for us, that we should lift up one another and nurture His creation. It has been the foundation of Grace Church since 1851.
